US Lacrosse Sponsors MCLA Monthly Award
From Press Releases
ATLANTA – The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), the preeminent non-varsity league in the country, is pleased to announce that US Lacrosse is sponsoring the MCLA Player of the Month, which will be awarded to an MCLA student-athlete in each division who has stood out with his overall performance.
The US Lacrosse MCLA Player of the Month will be awarded four times during the season in each division, starting in February and running through May. The recipient of the honor will receive a free one-year membership to US Lacrosse, a $ 50 value, in addition to national recognition.
“Having the leading organization in our sport sponsor an award is fantastic for the MCLA,” said MCLA president Ken Lovic. “There have been special performances by our student-athletes in the past, and that will surely continue. This provides a way for them to receive the recognition – and reward – that they deserve.”
The award will be based on statistical prowess, opponent strength and team success, along with other factors, and will be released shortly after the end of the month. Coaches may submit their nominations by the end of the month to info@mcla.us. Only nominations from coaches will be considered.
